Thousands of flights were disrupted across the UK on Tuesday after a technical failure affected the country’s air traffic control system.(1) Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted were among the airports affected. Flights are moving again, but that does not mean the disruption disappears with them. Aircraft and crews need to get back into position. Airlines need to rebuild schedules. And cargo that did not move as planned still needs to find its way onto another flight. For passengers, that means delays and cancelled plans. For businesses, there is another side to the story.
